Event Description
Our outstanding faculty will present clinically relevant presentations and discussions of new developments and established concepts in women’s health. This update is intended for providers of obstetrics, gynecology, and women’s primary care.
The course will allow maximum interaction between participants and faculty through frequent question and answer sessions, and break-out sessions during which participants are invited to bring their questions to a smaller group forum. A course syllabus including outlines of presentations and pertinent references will be available to all preregistered attendees.
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
- demonstrate improved clinical breast exam technique
- understand treatment of vulvar diseases
- understand complications with the use of mesh kits and other emerging surgical issues
- perform optimal pre-op evaluations
- evaluate and initially treat infertility
- discuss new developments in gynecological oncology

General Information
This event will be held at the Governor Hotel, 614 SW 11th Ave., Portland, OR. For reservations, please call the hotel directly at 503 224-3400 and be sure to mention you will be attending the OHSU OB-GYN Update. Please make your reservations as soon as possible; the room block will be released on September 28, 2009 and is subject to sell-out prior to that date.
Tuition/Registration
The tuition fee is $265.00 for physicians and $215.00 for other health professionals, and includes lunch both days and all course materials. To help meet administrative costs, a $35.00 service charge will be assessed on all refund requests received by October 22; no refunds can be issued after that date. Early registration is encouraged since enrollment will be limited. Should conditions warrant, the sponsors reserve the right to cancel this program with a full tuition refund.
Please note that admission to the program is restricted to registered attendees. To ensure the best learning environment for all registrants, babies and children cannot be accommodated in the meeting room, and cellphones should be used in the hallways only.
Reception/Tour
You are cordially invited to attend an informal reception on the evening of October 29th at the OHSU Center for Women’s Health. Tours of the Center will be available, and staff, faculty and presenters will also be invited to attend. A bus will leave the Governor Hotel at 4:45pm, tours of the Perinatal Center will be held from 5:15-6pm, and a reception will be held from 6-8pm at the Center for Women’s Health.
