Community Outreach

Empowering women of all ages to take greater ownership of their health and the health of their families.

The primary mission of the Community Outreach component of the OHSU National of Excellence in Women's Health is to empower women of all ages and stages of life to take on greater responsibility for nurturing their own health, and the health and well being of their families.

These community outreach efforts include:

• Identifying issues of concern for women throughout Oregon, including rural areas, and designing culturally appropriate educational opportunities and materials.
• Making health education resources readily available to women, including programs, events, Internet links, and contact information.
• Developing and maintaining partnerships with community organizations.
