Promoting Leadership Opportunities for Women at OHSU

The primary mission of the Leadership component of the OHSU National Center of Excellence in Women's Health (CoE) is the nurturing and advancement of women in academic medicine and improvement of the balance of representation of women in our institution, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).

These leadership efforts include:

• Enhancing the career development of women in academic medicine.
• Developing strategies for increasing the preparedness of women to take senior leadership position such as deans, department heads, division heads and residency directors.
• Strengthening existing and developing new approaches to fostering the recruitment, retention and promotion of minority women in academic medicine.
