2009 Brings New Approaches to Sharing Women’s Health Information

The Center for Women’s Health is a leader in providing health education programs and classes for women. In 2009, we are looking forward to exciting new program additions, such as webinars, online lectures (available as podcasts and ready to download on iTunes), more classes in the community, and the return of the Speaking of Women lecture series at Nordstrom Downtown and here at OHSU. Not returning this year is the Annual Women’s Health Conference.

		Wellness and nutrition classes Our wellness and nutrition classes continue to share the latest research findings in women's health with our community. We recently added new offerings through a partnership with Portland Community College. Want to know what foods are proven to lower cholesterol or how you can keep your pelvic floor healthy? Join us for classes and learn the latest information available. See class listings.

		Expanded childbirth and early parenting classes Two new childbirth classes have been added: The ABCs of Prenatal Screening and Testing and Pregnancy and Nutrition. OHSU offers a wide range of classes to support you through pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care. Get your family off to a healthy start with childbirth classes at OHSU. Learn more.

		Speaking of Women Recordings of past events are available online and through iTunes. Future events will be announced online and in our Email newsletter as they become available. See our online resources for recordings of additional past events.

		More online recordings and events With the dedicated support of the community and the OHSU Foundation, we are pleased to present additional quality health programs online. Health coaching is now offered by telephone. Prenatal screening class is offered by webinar. Recordings of past events are available through iTunes (requires iTunes). See all online programs.

		Fundraising events and opportunities The Center for Women's Health continues to benefit from ongoing community support.
