February is American Heart Month

Learn what you can do to prevent the number one killer of American women: heart disease.

Heart disease is the number one killer of American women. According to the American Heart Association, more than 500,000 American women die each year due to cardiovascular disease. The good news is that many of the risk factors are due to lifestyle choices, which makes it possible to reduce your risk.

Join us in the OHSU Center for Women's Health as we shine a spotlight on heart disease and how to keep your heart healthy.

Women and Heart Health: An Evening With the Experts at OHSU

How do women's cardiovascular systems differ from men's? How do I know if I am having a heart attack? How can women be tested for heart disease? Cigarroa is associate professor of cardiovascular medicine, associate chief of clinical affairs, and director of Cardiac Catheterization Labs. Rinkevich, is Director of the Heart Disease in Women Program Cardiovascular Medicine and associate professor of cardiovascular medicine. See a details and a complete schedule.
