General Obstetric & Gynecology Services

High Risk Obstetrics (Maternal-fetal Medicine)

Specialists in the OHSU Perinatal Center provide comprehensive care and consultation for women with high-risk pregnancies. We also provide genetic counseling, ultrasonography and prenatal diagnosis. The Nurse-Midwifery Faculty Practice

Nurse-midwives at OHSU and in the Center for Women’s Health provide personal and committed pregnancy care, including prenatal, birth and postpartum care. One unique service the midwives provide is water birth. OHSU is the only hospital in the Portland area that provides water birth services. The OHSU Center for Women’s Health provides a complete listing of educational programs to support you through your pregnancy and childbirth. We promote a healthy birth process for the whole family. Nutrition Services

Pregnancy is a time in your life when you become more aware of nutrition and the important role it plays in helping your baby to grow. Being pregnant often motivates women to improve their diet and lifestyle so that they can be as healthy as possible. The Center for Women’s Health offers nutrition services to all pregnant moms. Our dietician specializing in prenatal nutrition participates in childbirth education classes and also offers individual counseling sessions. Whether you have nutrition questions, a high-risk pregnancy or something in between, our dietician is here to help.

Physical Therapy

The Center For Women’s Health offers physical therapy for conditions affecting women of all ages. Some of the more common reasons that a pregnant woman might seek the care of a physical therapist are pain, injury and weakness. Our therapists also have specialized training in evaluating and treating pain in pregnancy, incontinence, pelvic floor pain and pain with intercourse.
