Maternal-fetal Medicine and Perinatology for High-risk pregnancies
The Perinatal Center's multi-disciplinary team of perinatologists, genetic counselors, radiologists, and other highly skilled specialists are here to provide you with the highest, most comprehensive level of healthcare. Here, outstanding prenatal care is tailored to your individual needs, from preconception to your birth. The OHSU Perinatal Center now offers services in two locations: in the Physicians Pavilion, OHSU Marquam Hill Campus and in the Center for Health and Healing, OHSU South Waterfront Campus. The OHSU Perinatal Center also maintains close ties to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

This facility allows immediate access to specialty service consultations, such as clinical genetics, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology and pediatric surgery.
OHSU Perintatal Ultrasound and Genetics
New facilities in the Center for Health and Healing at South Waterfront allow easy and convenient access for genetic services as well as ultrasound diagnostic and testing.

What is a high-risk pregnancy?
A pregnancy may be considered high-risk under various circumstances, including pre-existing conditions such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Age older than 35 or younger than 18
- Asthma
- History of high blood pressure or preeclampsia
- History of infertility
- Infectious diseases
- Multiple gestation (twins, triplets, etc.)
- Pre-existing or gestational diabetes
- Premature labor
- Previous pregnancy loss

What services are provided by the Perinatal Center?
We provide consultations and develop management plans with your primary care physician, but we can also provide comprehensive prenatal and delivery services.
Our services include:
- Management of high-risk maternal medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease and other maternal disorders that place mother and child at high-risk
- Pre-pregnancy consultations to determine genetic factors and high-risk maternal conditions
- Comprehensive prenatal care during pregnancy and
delivery
- Antepartum testing
- Pregnancy consultations
- State-of-the-art ultrasound diagnosis and fetal therapy
- Prenatal diagnosis

- Genetic consultations
- Coordination of care with your physician or certified
nurse-midwife
- Cordocentesis
- Amniocentesis
- Chorionicvillus sampling
- Management of multiple gestations (twins triplets etc.).
- Use of diagnostic high-resolution ultrasound, including 4-D
- Evaluation with neonatologists and surgeons of OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital to screen for congenital problems requiring immediate resolution at birth
