The Program in Vulvar Health is a specialty clinic that is devoted to
the care of vulvovaginal disorders. Founded in 1992 as a referral
center for complex vulvovaginal problems, the Program includes three
gynecologists, a sex therapist and physical therapist. It is located
in the Center for Women's Health at OHSU, a nationally
recognized Center of Excellence for Women's Health Care.
The strength of the Program in Vulvar Health is its comprehensive
approach to patients. Each woman is cared for by a multidisciplinary
team of experts in the field. These providers understand that
vulvovaginal symptoms present unique challenges to the woman who is
experiencing them, and approach each patient with an unmatched level
of care and support. Patients are followed closely and treatment
options are discussed thoroughly.
The staff are aware of the emotional, physical and sexual toll that
vulvar and vaginal symptoms often take on a woman's life. It is
the mission of the Program to help each and every patient recuperate
and maintain levels of well being in all of these areas.
