We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:

Health Education Resources (HER) Program Intern:
Utilizing research skills, HER interns assist women in finding health information and other resources by staffing the Health Education Resources desk at the OHSU Center for Women's Health. Requests for information arrive through our website, over the phone and in person through the Ask HER program.
HER interns also assist with health education and outreach events and classes. Opportunities include representing the Center for Women's Health at health fairs in a variety of locations, assisting with all aspects of the Annual Women's Health Conference in April, participating in quarterly Community Screening Events, helping out at the Speaking of Women Lecture Series, becoming trained and leading Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshops and more!
Interns are encouraged to complete an individual outreach project. Typical projects include writing outreach materials, conducting outreach events, or other projects based on intern's career goals and interests.
When
Monday through Friday shifts available 8:00-12:00 or 12:00-3:30. Minimum one shift per week.

Medical Records Support
OBJECTIVE:
- To support the goals of the medical records administration for the Center for Women’s Health.
HOURS: Within the hours of 8am-5 pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Must be able to read, write and use basic office computer applications after an orientation.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to hold all patient and staff information in strict confidence.
- Must be able to communicate in a clear and friendly manner with patients, family, and staff.
- Reliable, responsible and dependable
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrange charts on shelf to make room for incoming charts.
- Recycle old charts to make new charts, and follow instructions.
- Assist in pulling charts for next day appointments.
- Sort out broken down charts/records
- Remove contents from the inside and put into a stack
- Sort the stack of contents into sub-stacks
- Outside contents to be sent to HIS scan
- In house records to Iron Mountain
- Others to be shredded
- Assist with filing projects
Residency Volunteer
OBJECTIVE:
- To support the goals of the Resident program’s administration for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
HOURS:
Negotiable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Must be able to read, write and use basic office computer applications after an orientation.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to hold all patient and staff information in strict confidence.
- Must be able to communicate in a clear and friendly manner with staff.
- Reliable, responsible and dependable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Binder construction – making tabs with MS Word and Avery printable labels, formatting, selecting font, assembling binder and filing in new binders.
- Spreadsheet use – populating spreadsheet with attendance data, knowledge of excel and simple formulas to total rows or columns.
- Filing – Familiar with alpha filing system and attention to detail.
